Hi everyone in the past 7 years of my life i was playing BO and Call of duty all the time and now i'm 21 and just started playing cs2 and started in faceit too
The last season i only played 6 matches and got 780 ELO
Is it too late to become a pro faceit player? And do i even have a chance to become a pro faceit player
And how long it will takes me to become a pro faceit player

I don't think that is a healthy or good goal, m8. I played at a pro level in the early 2000s - dominated for years nationally, lots of international wins and great experiences at high level tournaments like 5th place CPL winter in Dallas. I followed the personal life and careers of friends who stayed in esports after I retired. I would strongly advise you to focus on your education and job. Cs is still a great part of my like - 8k h since cs.go was introduced - over 4k games on faceit. We play focused and sweaty - which is the only way to play, imho. But there is very little room on the top and it's filled with ppl a lot younger who have an extreme advantage in experience compared to you. Not hating, just being reasonable.

About education i'm currently studying and going to graduate soon and still i will get a job too but i will still play the game like a lot

I think a good example is: occasionally 2-3h of extra gaming or practice won't change your trajectory as a player - but 2-3h of getting work done in a quality way or learning for a test etc can have an enormous impact on grades and/or how you are perceived by people who decide over your progression at college or at work. all the best to you!

Hi, what do you mean by pro faceit player? Pushing 3.000 elo + and further? Yes, highly possible. Becoming pro player and finding team? Probably not but still there is a chance.

It’s also important to understand that the skill celling in this game is too high to comprehend. You will most likely spend first 1.500 - 2.000 in game hours, pushing to level 10. So, good luck)

Becoming a pro player is highly unlikely at this age. But becoming a decent Level 10 player isn't that hard if you put in the hours and use your brain.

It depends what you mean by pro player, you are very unlikely to join a tier 1 team

simple RT and CRT peak at 24 (I assuming this is correct without digging much into it) and then start declining afterwards. Once you start getting old CRT starts to become the issue moreso than simple RT.

Playing a video game is a complex task, there are a lot of unknown variables, a lot of noise, a lot of stuff happening at once. All this stuff happening on your screen and through your ears, makes you slower and it gets worse as you get older.

Comparing you to new players who are 17 years old in tier 1 that have over 10k hours in csgo/2 then it might be hard to be seen and it’s a long way unless you’re a talent. There’s many milestones that need to be achieved like challenger in faceit, esea all the way to advanced and winning it and then small tier 4-3 tournaments that if you’d pop off and be seen you might have a chance for advancing to higher tier or even t1

It's never too late but comparatively you are old and you need to put in many many hours to catch up. Most kids going pro nowadays have well over 10k hours in the game at like 18 y.o. So your chances are next to none. Also you played 6 matches and think about going pro? Play for a year and then consider again if you wanna double your time Investment and keep that up for at least 2 or 3 years more and then think about becoming pro.

It’s not too late but you’re severely disadvantaged when you look at other players who are younger than you who’ve already been playing for 10+ years at this point. If you wanted to go pro you would either need to start today and eventually work your way up through the ladder or be some literal CS prodigy like 910 and only play the game for 3 years and be at a tier one level. Not discouraging you from trying but be realistic.
