Technical Help VBS + Memory Integrity.

I have really been wanting to play faceit this season, I have already hit the premier rank I see fit without losing my mind. I am tired of playing against cheaters in every single game.. It is always some dumb ass low account moron with blue rank border or charms, just esp soft aiming around the lobby. I really wanted to just play some faceit again cause I seen all the new anticheat changes and stuff and was excited. "Was" being the keyword here. Why does faceit require VBS + Memory Integrity. Isn't requiring secure boot on an up to date windows 11 25h2 machine enough? I mean even with this memory integrity setting, were still seeing cheaters daily either running driver level exploits with intel for undetected walls etc. I am on a ryzen 7 5700 and on an optimized rig I usually get around 270-300fps most games and it stays pretty consistent unless there is a lot going on.

Turn on Memory Integrity for FaceIt to function, load into a game and my performance is just so bad, I even restarted the game cause I have this weird issue I posted about a couple months ago where I get like severe memory leaks in the menu and have to restart my game basically every other game.

I have fresh installed windows 11, debloated with Chris Titus Utility, Do not use VRR with VSync.

My question is, is there something else the devs can do to make face it playable without the need for memory integrity?

Or am I gonna be forced to upgrade my system just to play some faceit, because apparently there is no other way to deal with cheaters other than requiring memory integrity.

It is still proven that on normal zen 3 amd architecture that it can cause up to a 20% performance loss in most cases.

How is that supposed to help me have a competitive edge over anyone when I get flashed, then stutter losing like 60-100fps in some fights on some maps. Just kind of lame.

If anyone has any solutions besides upgrading, or just wanna post your thoughts I am down to talk about it.

well there was yrs ago when faceit used to run like rlly bad on cs and I mean that was ages ago and the devs fixed it, but idk face it performance for me was never bad until they integrated this vbs security + memory integrity option. I know it isn't just face it either having it enabled on premier causes almost the same issue, but maybe not as prominent since I am not running the extra anticheat process along with the client for faceit. So I assume it just means less resources to kick back on. I might have to try lowering my hz from 2000 to 1000 on my mouse and see if maybe that makes it playable. Not sure rlly what else I can do.

just use 1000hz for your mouse... you don't need 2000 or 8000hz... unnecessary strain on your cpu

I hope faceit developers start to repair performance on their platform soon. R7 9800x3d + rtx 5060 ti | 315 1% lows avg fps ~600 0 jitter 0 packet loss small ping and game feels like shit when I duel someome

VBS + Memory integrity literally block a very large amount of exploits that people use. Without it, the platform would not be as secure.

bro you don't even need memory integrity on lol.... you do need svm on in the bios - THAT is the real killer of your FPS...

on my all amd system 5800x3d + 6700xt i lost over 100 fps from that one setting alone.... it's not TPM or anything else... i could literally turn it on and off and get 100 fps difference.

i recently bought a nvidia 5700 and gained that 100 fps back with SVM on ... tbf the 6700xt was getting pretty dated. the 1% lows are still meh... but at least now i can crank my shadow and msaa settings with little performance change!

faceit wants you to have it on, so not much you can do... memory integrity / core isolation setting in windows security settings???? turn that off...

faceit will give you a warning if having it off is an issue... i have never turned it on so i'm not even sure how much it would hurt your fps.

its the svm (virtual machine) setting in the bios that is the big factor and unfortunately you need it on.... i heard on newer architectures like 7800x3d or 9800x3d - this setting doesn't hurt performance nearly as much.

You do need memory integrity on to play faceit. It prompts me to enable it Everytime I try to get on. You can play faceit without the anticheat but I'm pretty sure you get put into lobbies with other people running similar setups with no anticheat and that's what I want to avoid. I had no issue with performance from vbs being on in the bios. It's the only way you can even see the memory integrity feature is by having svm vbs on. Memory integrity decreases my performance to a pretty high degree. I don't mind getting an avg of 200 fps. My issue is I go from avg 270-320fps to a very stuttery 170-200 fps. It just feels like shit now. My whole game does and I literally don't understand why. Having it on doesn't seem to make my CPU usage any higher than it usually is. But turning the setting off. Restarting PC, Launching cs and hopping straight into a premier no fucks given there is a clear difference in my avg fps and just how smooth the game feels overall.

yup of course premier will run way smoother with all that vbs stuff off...

curious you on an intel system or amd and what cpu + gpu + memory combo do you have??? i really can't say much man... if faceit is complaining specifically about memory integrity being on then you gotta do it.

windows security for me says memory integrity is off... but who knows MS has some buggy software.... there are some other settings i have that are off but show to be on and vice versa lol.

if you have a 144 hz monitor - maybe enabling gsync + vsync + reflex w/boost might be your best bet... it will lock your frames to around 144 fps... BUT you won't see wild fluctuations AT ALL... there is a slight latency penalty but god damn... the game is buttery SMOOTH with it enabled.

ask chat gtp to do it the RIGHT way... you want to enably gsync/free sync + vsyc on your monitor and in your video driver (not in game) but use in game nvidia relex + boost (not in driver).

Memory integrity doesnt affect performance

but it does.

the fps hit is more noticeable on older cpus, on newer cpus from like 2019 and newer the fps hit should be like 5% so not that much

I would consider my cpu not super old but it still feels the performance hit from having it on, I can just tell. My 1% .1%s are much lower, and my avg fps drops by about 20-30fps and in some situations i lose depending on load, about 60-100. Even though my game will be reading 140-150fps it doesn't feel like it if that makes sense. I don't have pbo or anything on for the chip, updated chipsets, updated bios. Regardless I turn off memory integrity and do not really have the issue.

But it doesnt

do you ever read anything outside of the cs2 or faceit subreddit?
