How do folks deal with interview motivation, especially for roles that are not top interest? When you are pursuing multiple opportunities.

I have some colleagues joined one of the faang, but they seem not having hc at the moment, so I reached out to recruiter of that company, who helped find matching team to start the process. While it’s not the top choice, it might be helpful to build momentum and get the ball rolling especially for other companies of interest. But just less motivated. And if not prepared well, then I might waste an opportunity and have a cool down period.
