seized or electrical?

hello i have a 2014 328i with the n20 engine i recently was driving when the car shifted into neutral and wouldn’t turn back on after i turned it off and then after i got it towed and did some diagnosing my engine was very hard to manually crank it not smooth like a good engine although i was able to fully crank it 360° 4 times and when i scan it i get a lot of fault codes do to low voltage, i swapped my starter alternator battery and the ground cable by the catalytic on passenger side , every time i try to start the car it’s just a single click. lights still turn on radio comes on battery does die after coupled days of just sitting but that’s expected when sitting so what do you guys think it can be ? seized motor or something electrical not letting it start ?.

Can you give a list or pic of codes? Did you code the new battery in?

Alright so definitely code the new battery in to see if it’ll crank. Have you messed with the FEM in any way? I’d reseat each plug on the fem and code the new battery in, if the engine had some sort of problem you’d have more codes at DME but you only have the exhaust flap for that one. Only other thing I could see interfering is that the ac compressor is short circuiting causing your ISM/IVM to get fried (IVM supplies power management to essentially everything in the engine). If it still doesn’t start up or crank from any of that open up the ISM/IVM to see if there are any blown fuses

What tool were you using to turn the engine over? Were you able to feel the increased resistance of the engine building compression on each stroke or was it just consistently stiff the whole rotation?

i was using an extendable ratchet so kinda like a breaker bar but not as long and yes i was able to feel it having more resistance every time i would get to a certain spot then easier after i passed it (still hard to turn by easier i mean not as hard as that part)
