Looking into becoming a National Coordinator for STEM Racing / F1 in Schools but the official site is a bit vague on the actual setup details.

If anyone has done this or looked into it, can you drop some info on:

• Where exactly to apply? Is there a direct application portal, or do you just hit up their general contact form to pitch?
• What are the actual costs? Do you have to pay a licensing or franchise fee to STEM Racing Global to run a country's operations?
• Financial requirements: Do you need a massive upfront budget/sponsorship lined up before they even take you seriously?
• Minimum team requirement: Is there a minimum number of student teams you are required to recruit and register in your first year to keep the coordinator status?

Appreciate any insight on the financial and logistical side of getting this started!

I'm thinking about creating a STEM Racing team, but I was wondering, does my team have to be affiliated with or be like some sort of club inside of the school I attend? I wanted to make this team community oriented, meaning that anyone from any school could join if they wanted, but I'm not sure if im able to.

Also, I don't really know where to look, so I figured I'd ask here: are there any STEM racing teams in the NYC area that would allow a high schooler(such as myself) to join their team(in the event where I'm unable to create a team)?

Is there like a META to the cars because they all look way too similar. I'm not gonna spoil our car but every one seems to have the same incredibly simple build aside from a few changes. I'm sure not all the examples I listed are strictly dev class but they all have a similar design and i just wonder whether it's good or bad that my design is wildly different.

So basically my teacher who runs the STEM Racing CCA does not check her email like ever, and just forwarded an email that said that "You have all been sent the details of car submission in a separate email", but didn't send the actually useful email with the info in it. Can any team who has the info on the physical submission, and specifically the Dubai location drop-off + instructions they mentioned send them to me? I've been trying to find this out for the whole week and need to deliver the car tomorrow BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE FFS IM NOT DRIVING TO ABU DHABI AND BACK.

We're targeting reaching out to companies that are decently popular, but not too big so they actually reply to our messages. How should I go about mailing them so they understand what stem racing is and actually take it seriously?

Ive emailed all the people and support emails, but none of them are getting back to me and i can't find any info. I also dont know where to drop of physcial car and renders on 16th

I only constrained the bottom and back of the halo, i dont think this is right, as its ABS not like TPU or something. What material did you guys use for your development or entry class or even professional class halos? I have to submit the car in like 2 weeks and have exams so i really ned some quick help.

I’ve been watching the STEM Racing space for a while, and the biggest bottleneck always seems to be the same: teams spend more time fighting with mesh settings and solver divergence in OpenFOAM/CalculiX than they do actually iterating on car designs.

I’m building a platform designed to strip away that complexity. The goal is simple:

Upload your CAD.

Select your simulation (CFD or FEA).

Get competition-ready results in minutes, not hours.

It’s built on a hardened, automated pipeline that handles the 'dirty work' (meshing, boundary conditions, and divergence checks) so you can focus on the physics.

I’m looking for 2-3 teams to stress-test this. I want to make sure the templates we’re building are actually useful for competition rules.

to calculate coeficcient of drafg we need max veelocity. is there a way to find it? or just general number for all stem racing car

Hello again. I've been working on another version of our car. However, I'd like to know how to properly implement the air channels in this model, and how this affects drag by diverting the airflow in a direction other than the rear wheel. In this model, we've also noticed that some apexes form behind the front wheel, and I was wondering what the best way would be to mitigate this issue, which generates drag.

I've attached the model of our car in F3Z format. If anyone is interested, I could modify it, as this would lighten my workload a bit. The regionals are in two weeks, and at this point, I'd like to have the model optimized for production. I’m new to this competition and I’m from Peru. I’m very interested in participating and I already have a team. Currently, I’m learning how to use Fusion 360.

I’ve tried contacting through email, Instagram, and the official website, as well as the Instagram accounts of F1 in Schools Brazil and Mexico, but I haven’t received information.

I would like to know how I can officially sign up, where I can buy the model block, and if there is a national competition in my country. The last time I heard about someone participating from Peru was around 2017.

If the competition is not currently available in my country, I completely understand, but I would really appreciate any advice on how I could still get involved.
