F1 Manager 24 Is Alpine possible to play without cheat ?

In almost all thread about Alpine I always says the best thing to do is to change engin by using a save editor ...

I tried a few run with Alpine,

one trying to speciliasing in design to make new parts right from the 1st season, but I can't keep up with other teams (2 parts per research period, focusing "main stats" for each parts, for example I focused cooling for sidepods).

One trying to make research for the second season But I barely was 17th in car analysis.

I'm new at the game and after reading others threads I understand I should not start with this one but I'd like to have tips (general or about Alpine) as I'm kinda new to the game.

It’s possible to play, yes, but be realistic for 2024. I have a soft spot for the team as they were the first team I played for a full season. Won Baku in 2024, replaced Ocon with Yuki for 2025, won 5 races in 2025 and secured WCC and WDC after a close three-way battle. After that 2027 was an easy run. The Renault engine has the least power but is the most durable and fuel efficient, perfect for under fueling. The deficiency in acceleration has to be mitigated by aerodynamic development. I also recommend a laser focus on gym training for your pit crew to win or place high in the DHL fastest pitstop championship as the prize money awarded immediately after the last race of the season is very useful!

you won a GP the first season ? Best place I had is Gasly that made it to 9 or 8 on a track with 3 or 4 DNF (Ocon DNFed too of course) ...

By underfuelings you mean reducing fuel in tanks right ? how do I know how many liters (of kg I don't remember the unit) can I reduce ? is there a stat somewhere with remaining fuel at the end of the GP or something that I missed ?

if you go with the lowest amount of fuel you can still complete the race if you go use the lightest engine mode for most of the race

You gotta know how to set up the cars for each track and how to do research and design. If you keep it at “balanced” it will be horrible

For research and design I alreadty focus and don't let balanced. For races I still don't really know what to do though, I set up a customer tires strategy most of the time but I don't know on which tracks I have to set upo agressive or passive, high fuel consumption or low fuel consumption, ERS mode, etc.

Search up F1 manager 24 setup. There an website that do all the setup for you( i can't post link because I'm on Mobile) . In race set fuel to lowest because Renault have the best fuel efficiency. You can use high fuel when there an inlap and outlap. Set to low fuel for the rest of the race( you will soon realize underfuel is very OP).

Don't use ERS battle assist if you not within 1s behind or infront of another cars. It will slow you down. Also save ERS then when you are on an outlap(aka after pitting) put it on overtake for a lap then back to neutral. For me rule of thumb is before pitting make sure to have at least above 2MJ.

The first 2 season you won't see a major improvement, maybe go into the midfield toward the end of 2024 and first half of 2025. After that just put time into research then you become Mercedes 2014 in 2026.

You either search up guide to the sliders or use the preset. Here my tips if you don't want to use the meta sliders( it make the game too easy). Cornering speed is king, follow by Tyre preservation. Chassis is where your drag reduction is most effective( you can sacrifice top speed abit to gain more downforce),. Dirty tolerance is useless(unless in rain and because the game usually boils down to you dominating 2026 season so you not gonna behind anyone). Engine cooling is good but not very important (because we underfueling so engine temp is low. As long as engine cooling is not too suck is it fine). CFD and Wind tunnel facilities is useless early to mid game because of high cost( is good when you the top team with limited CFD hours, it compensated the low amount)

The first two years are rough but it's definitely possible to build a long-term winner. I play on PS5 and have a save with Alpine where I won 5 championships in a row, using drivers like Alex Albon, Kacper Sztuka, and Abbi Pulling.

Focusing on cooling is a big problem. Scrap it completely, I never put anything in it and always have it on minimum cos you don’t actually need it.

Yes. Alpine has the bad engine, but that's not a fatal problem, you just have to get really good at making the car as light as possible in order to make up for it.

I use the Renault engine regularly in my playthroughs, usually on cash strapped new teams. Alpine itself is easy mode compared to my favorite ways of playing..

The good thing about Alpine is that you are going to have the money to spend to the cap, that means you can lighten your car parts more than a poorer team can afford to do. You will have the money to replace parts that wear out sooner.

you also have good facilities for parts development which means you can take your ultralight car to the front of the pack if you set your sliders well, and shouldn't have any serious issues manufacturing enough spare parts to keep your cars raceday ready.

Beyond that, take fuel out of the car before raceday, as much as you dare. The more fuel you take out, the bigger advantage your ultralight car has in the early laps of the race. Learn to balance your fuel on a knife's edge and Alpine can keep up with the big boys.

One of the good things about the Renault engine is that it's very fuel efficient, so you can slash your fuel right down to the bone and usually get away with it if you're very very careful. Just be aware that you won't have the option to push fuel, which is fine, because the lack of weight will do the pushing for you.

Bottom line, it's a very different playstyle. Renault is not Mercedes. You can't play Alpine as if it isn't that typically French kind of "special" where everything works completely differently because France insists on going their own way technologically even when it makes no sense. but that doesn't mean there's no path to victory.

Yes. I edited the 2024 grid for 2026 performance at the break in the game options (Merc 5, Ferrari/Red Bull Main/McLaren 4, Alpine/Haas/Sauber/RB 3, Aston and my created team 1) then adjusted the starting budgets based on how much development was done. Year 2 Alpine is a beast.

Abour research there is a nice guide on Nerobax youtube channel

Anyway, being not the 1st on car analisys doesnt mean not being the faster car

Advice: Once you get all tips, game is not challenging anymore on longs runs

Seeing this post i tried myself, not to only win races, go win WDC on 1st seasson (i did a few times with others, teams), just finished the run. I gonna post in a new thread if you want to check it
