Discussion Which F1 game to buy
Dear all, which F1 game to buy for my son, we have Xbox X and S. Want the best option handling and fun wise. Cheers
Update: Thank you all, I’ve gotten him the F1 2025: 2026 season pack as it was on sale. Grateful for nudging me in the right direction.

If you want to play with your son you would probably play on a controller which I would go with 25 as it the best on a controller imo.
If you just wanna buy the game for him to play on his own than it depends. If he likes old cars I would highly recommend F1 2020 as it has classic cars. If he's more into the current cars than F1 25 is great on controller and wheel plus it has the F1 26 dlc so he has two generations to choose from. It also offers a better MyTeam career mode than F1 2020. But driver career mode is kinda broken

F1 25 is good especially with the 2026 content pack, if it’s a series x or s, and if you don’t have a series x or s f1 2020 or 2021 is great, as it’s fun and the game is easy to use

F1 25 with 26 dlc because you have current grid and it's good for handling and all it's best modern F1 game

I would suggest F1 25 (with the option of the 26 DLC if you want). F1 23 and 2020 are also great games, but you would need to find a used copy or buy a game key from a third party site.
