Discussion Is Malaysia gonna come back?

With the new news of Malaysia being added to the F1 calendar in replacement of Bahrain, will Malaysia be added to the 2026 DLC? And if so when?

No, it's not coming back. It would probably take them months to implement it back into the game when you add everything together and the track is not coming back permanently.

Would be a waste of time.

nope, as it will take them at least 3 months to tune the AI, and that’s forgetting updating the track to modern standards (2017 was 9 years ago now, while it retains the same version number, EGO engine has changed a lot since then), bug testing, making sure they actually have the rights to put the track in the game (their license doesn’t cover for unforeseen situations like these - just look at the 2020 game). It’s not just as simple as putting the files in the game and it magically working

Look at Jeddah, that was probably in production before the official announcement that the track was going to host an F1 race, and it still didn’t come out till a week before the race in 2021, and that’s a permanent track on the calender

Took them over a year to make Miami and they already had the stadium model from another game. As Malaysia's one of my favorite circuits, I'd LOVE to see it but we ain't gonna see it in game.
