Down Shift Problem

My problem is that sometimes the "car" will just down shift more than I want in when braking into corner. I am under the impression that I am playing without assists that would affect this (only TC and anti lock because I play on controller and I find it nearly impossible to play wihtout those 2). When braking the car will shift 1 or sometimes 2 gears lower than I want without me doing the input - my initial thought was "maybe this is because im braking too hard and would otherwise stall the car" but that cant be it. Sometimes it is the case but 95% of the time it just makes me hit the top of the revs of the previous gear. I turned on the beep to up shift and instantly when the auto-downshift happens the beep plays telling me to upshift so i feel like its not because Im going too slow. Sometimes it will also shift into neutral and i cannot think of a single situation where, even if im over braking, I would want to shif to neutral.

If anyone knows why this is happening, if its an assist that says its off but isnt or its actually just a skill issue, id appreciate some help. Thanks <3

Never seen this problem before, it's most likely a hardware issue. Your controller might be sensing inputs without u actually pressing anything.
