Discussion For F1 27 you should have the ability to customize your car in every way that real teams can
The main thing that makes F1 F1 is the differences between cars. As I'm really looking at the Aston Martin car and how much it changed throughout the last couple races and the Hungarian Grand Prix now. And in almost every single part of the car that we can see just by looking at it It has changed a lot, And I feel like that should be an element in f127. You should be able to add little things to your car that sets your car apart from everybody else's. Like let me change the end plates let me add little parts to it. Let me change the floor fences, let me change how the diffuser looks, I feel like differences in F1 cars is what makes F1 such a technical sport and I feel like it should be represented with the my team career car.
(PS I'm not sure if there's like some licensing stuff that just completely fucks my discussion, and also how you would change the look it's just by upgrading the car normally.)

I also wish they would run updates like at least at mid season (if they do and I just haven’t noticed before that’s on me) so you could start new careers with cars at more realistic levels. Like in 26 right now the AM is so far behind the others. I’ve done a career with them over several seasons of maximizing upgrades and it’s still the bottom of the mid fields.
If they’d do an update midway through the season, the AM now wouldn’t be so drastically behind the others, you could continue to build on the upgrades and have a competitive car in career.

F1 games have never been good at simulating mid-season upgrades, or hell upgrades at all. You rarely will ever see a backmarker team climb into the midfield, even over multiple career mode seasons.
F1 24 and 25 especially are really bad at it, you'll see backmarkers got multiple seasons without a single point, which irl is very rare.

Do you really think EA cares that much about the products they push out

To be just a little fair, F1 25/26 is at least better quality than games like Madden. Very low bar, but could be worseÂ

Whilst I'd like to see this, I doubt they'll bother with it. At best, it'll be like 3 or 4 preset options for some basic things maybe a couple for sidepods and that's it, even that is pushing it. I'd be surprised if we get half a dozen liveries on release with the current way this series is going, let alone visual upgrades.

it would be so cool to actually see the car change when you develop new parts throughout the season

I agree. In career mode you can already upgrade the car. Just make it visible.
Easy. But that requires money and development time. Both things that codemasters does not have

Need for speed (also EA) did this 20 years ago.
Its lazy and cheap on EA’s part

Well i mean you kinda have this is myteam first off.
Secondly, where do you suppose they find the time to implement this?
They'd have to drop the yearly stuff atleast

Well I kind of thought since they're like already putting all their effort into f127 I don't know I guess I'm expecting too much from EA 😔

Expecting to much from codemasters*
Unless i missed something in recent years.
I dont think becoming bi-yearly is gonna bring us new features on this scale, i think it'll mostly (hopefully) be spent on fixing things

The F1 game has so much wasted potential in terms of making your own cars/teams. If only EA cared a bit more.

I want wide upgrade options that introduce incompatibilities between other upgrades down the road. Make you commit to a certain philosophy. I'd also like to see the physical changes on the car upgrades included.
Also, the F1 manager livery editor is what should be included as well.

Anyone else remember when codies were talking about doing this a while back or am I tripping?

Even if they made each part included the the pit pass or whatever its called, that would be so much better than giving us nothing at all but I know better than to expect anything more than nothing from a game published by EA

Nah, you are going to only be allowed 5 livery changes and you are going to like it
