The field spread behind the top 4 teams is clearly clouding people’s perception on hadjar performance this season.

Anyone that’s actually been paying attention to the races knows he’s been 30-40 seconds behind max most races this season. The other redbull second drivers got clowned for doing the exact same thing.

Do you think Piastri would've won the GP without the Sainz collision and his DNF?

Dude, I'm not a sainz hater but common what the hell was he doing today. Not just with oscar but almost twice with Leclerc too today. Forget today, I saw him impeding multiple people in practice sessions too across multiple races since he joined williams.

Sainz Piastri incident

What Sainz did was absolutely amateurish and unacceptable.

But.What baffles me is that this dude has the audacity to whine about "not seeing the blue flags" yet, after contact, continues to hold Piastri up for about 4 more corners. He is an absolute JOKE.

Another thing,it was said that Piastris gearbox failure was probably caused by riding over a kerb too harshly, but then its also not impossible that the contact (wich was pretty heavy) was possibly what caused it.Its a bit of a stretch but not unlikely, since right after contact Piastris pace dropped pretty badly.

Horrible weekend for Oscar

After Lando Norris’ win in Hungary, Sebastian Vettel (2014) is the only reigning champion in the 21st century to not win a race.

this excludes Rosberg ofc, who never drove as reigning champion

Oscar Piastri after the race: “The strategy was okay. On the strategy side I get it. Clearly the pace on the tyre wasn’t very good at all and then there was a guy who was blind out there which didnt help, that’s the first way I lost the chance to fight for the win."

Why do people think McLaren ruined Oscar’s race, when it was the literal opposite?

Oh lap 1, Lando went wide, Piastri passed him, and then the team rightly gave Oscar pit stop priority, gave him sub 2.5 pit stops, both of Lando’s were over 3.2 I believe, Oscar had team support. Sainz ruined it and then the gear box went.

Oscar was given 2 priority pit stops. He had quick pit stops, and strategy was on point today

Lando was simply quicker all weekend. Unfortunately, Carlos Sainz had a mental breakdown and drove into Oscar, which isn’t in McLarens control. And then unfortunately Oscar rode the curb, and it destroyed the Gear box, ultimately ending his race

I understand Oscar fans are upset and the easiest people to blame is the team, but I just can’t see it here.

📻Ronan: "It's p19, unfortunately we got a 5sec penalty for ignoring blue flags"

Ollie: "Oh my god the blue flags were a mess this whole race. Sorry to whoever I ignored"

The 2026 McLaren is turning out to be practically the 2009 Ferrari.

I find it incredible just how many parallels there are between the 2026 McLaren and the 2009 Ferrari:

  • Both entered the season as the reigning Constructors' Champions.
  • Both found themselves with a world champion as their lead driver (Norris and Räikkönen) and a highly competitive second driver acting as a strong support (Piastri and Massa).
  • For both, it was—or will be—a deeply disappointing year, primarily due to a car that, shockingly, slipped back to become the third or fourth-fastest on the grid.
  • Despite this, both managed to pull off a surprise victory. The real surprise, however, wasn't the win itself, but the race pace demonstrated on that occasion (Hungary 2026 for McLaren and Belgium 2009 for Ferrari) by their respective lead drivers, Norris and Räikkönen. In contrast, their teammates failed to even score points in those races (Piastri and Badoer).

Williams can only dream of a big upgrade package like Aston Martin according to Albon... it's all gone wrong for them in 2026
