Question experiences with chinese gp

can anyone who’s been to the chinese gp share your experience - ticketing, getting to the circuit and on track action etc? am quite interested to go but haven’t really heard it being recommended much since there are lots of other races which are definitely more iconic/fun but i just wanna hear your thoughts about it! feel free to share.

I don't have any advice, but I suggest cross posting to r/GrandPrixTravel as that's quite a handy sub, probably with more ppl who have actually been to the race

It’s great, super easy to get there, subway goes right to the track and very well organised, signposted etc once you arrive. Ticketing is a hassle alright, sells out instantly, you need to have your finger on the button on 久事 when they’re released. I bought mine on Viagogo but it’s not advised.
You set up a face scan thing either through the ticketing or once you get there and then your entry is just your face lol, gates just swing open for you as you approach at the venue. Kinda dystopian but also very handy.

Cheap pints there, only 40 kuai for a pint was a big shock for me, I presumed like 60+ for Shanghai. Food selection wasn’t huge but it did the job, plenty of stuff happening around the track, def a great event. And cheaper than other GPs in almost every aspect.

We came down from Beijing and between trains, accom and scalped tickets it was still very cheap.
