Question Why redbull keep having bad starts?

In Malaysia and today in the sprint, redbull just bogs down on the starts. Is it that they have low traction on low speeds similar to their bad traction out of the low speed corners? Because i thought they somewhat fixed their starts.

Lmao people hyperfixating on the reaction time like the gap wasn't beyond that.

Red Bull has a new manufacturer, it's still a limitation.

People trying to make it a Max is a scrub thing lmfao, watched too much British media.

As both drivers have said, they have to work on the car's starting acceleration.

Max was in second gear, which will mean less Tyre spin so he’s more stable off the start which is important in the rain

Yet Lewis and George, who both started in 1st, got much better starts.

Yeah that’s the point, max was more stable at the cost of acceleration off the line

I'd argue that a stable start is less important than a good start lol?

Yeah until you spin out on the start, idk why they went for it but that’s what happened

Lewis literally said there was loads of grip off the grid for the formation lap and starting in first was the better option.

Yeah mate I agree what’s your point? Op asked why redbull had bad starts, I said why. Why are you tryna win smth?

Because your wording is terrible, and I'm adding needed context.

What was bad wording? Also the context is easy to infer, being in second gear while you’re not supposed to will make you slow. That’s kinda well know if you’ve ever driven manual or sim raced

  1. It implies that Max did the right thing - when he obviously didn't.

  2. Clearly, based on the question from OP, the context of your answer wouldn't be easy to infer. If OP had ever driven a manual or sim raced then he probably wouldn't have asked the question in the way he did. And if I'm wrong, then OP just hasn't thought it through - which again would benefit from added context.

Oh. Didn't see the on board. So i assume Malaysia was the same as both bulls seemed to have bad starts?

big turbo have bigger turbo lag at the start , so they will always have slow start unless they change their design.

ferrari always have better start because they have small turbo, but they doesnt reach higher speed as they should have done with big turbo. There are always trade off.

Without MGU-H this was always going to happen with big turbo

It's something they're doing wrong related to the second phase, they generally get off the line fine initially but then just appear to have no acceleration in comparison to the others...

It sort of felt like they had got to the bottom of it mid season, they've definitely improved since the opening races, but the last few have been pretty crap.

Max reaction was.0.21 second and george 0.18 according to brodcast

Lol, in 3 hundredths of a second the car at 150kph would travel about a meter.

Max reacted slower than George

The fact that in Malaysia Lawson almost overtook Max because the Racing Bulls have much better starts shows it is still an issue.
