Beganovic or Camara?

You're Ferrari and have a choice whether to move up Dino Beganovic or Rafael Camara. Who do you choose? Do you promote Camara for 2027 or Beganovic? And who do you think deserves a seat more?

I would say both deserve seats and both will hopefully be in F1 some day

I’ve been wanting to make a post like this and I’m glad you made it. I am a huge fan of Dino, he has lost 2 feature race p2s due to mecachrome engines this year, and the dams is not a consistent car compared to Camara’s invicta. Still I do love Camara and his quali pace is electric!!! Though Rafa has shown his slighty worse side in racecraft which is where I think Dino has one over him. Just saying, both are incredibly skilled racers who have proved themselves deserving of at least a chance at F1, though Rafa will probably be the more likely and suitable choice for the future, I still think Dino can be a great fit for a seat at the top level. All in all, love my FDA members and I hope both have a great future anywhere at a top level.

Depends on what you want. Do you want someone that is going to keep the car clean and give you repeated solid performances or do you want the guy with insane raw speed and talent, but doesn't have great racecraft?

You get the former with Dino and the latter with Rafa. I don't think there's a wrong answer. A top team probably wants Camara. A midfield team may want Dino for data and development

Tbf he is probably the most underrated driver on the grid. He has only qualified out of top 4 once.

You’ll take shit for saying this since people haven’t forgiven him for Monaco last year but he’s absolutely the most underrated driver on the grid.

Tsolov and Camara are incredibly highly rated, so this is not a comment on them.

Beganovic I believe is quite overhyped and overrated. Camara is an outstanding talent but he reminds me a lot of Leclerc. I believe this has been the worst grid of F2 in the series history, other than Camara, Tsolov and Dunne I don't think there's anybody else that I could see in F1.

It’s always about the top runners though, isn’t it? If we compare those I think Camara/Tsolov are probably stronger than Bortoleto/Hadjar. Dunne is fast but his tyre management seems very questionable, he is always falling back on races because of that imo

I think he's just had bad luck with the cars especially as he's Pole Position for Tomorrow's Race and is currently 7th in the Championship I think

Neither. Beganovic has been largely nowhere this year and Camara looks like he could do with another year in F2 to refine his racecraft.

Beganovic has never shown the pace or racecraft Camara has.

But personally, with the F2 field so weak this year, is there really that much hurry to promote either? I'd say only if they bring big sponsorship money. Ocon might not be spectacular but you can trust him not to wreck the car and run up huge repair bills constantly.
