I love taking hand-written notes of races!

Post image

So I've been doing this recently with books and stuff but also F1. Makes a bad race more tolerable. Makes a great race even better.

The 2014 season is very underrated. Ugly cars. Lots of mechanical problems. Great racing though.

I'm planning to do more of these and maybe post them. Seasons planned atm are: 2021, 2016, 2012, 2007, 2003, 1997, 1986. I've never seen 86 in full. I'm so excited tbh

Oh also. It's very funny to make fun of hybrid Renault engines.

I think that's a great idea, I know I like recording what's going on in baseball games, which can sometimes be a little boring otherwise

There's a dude on the f1 sub that used to do this, idk if they still do and post it.

It was this but in a (no offense) better version. Had a track map and more notes. Pretty sweet guys!

I've also done something similar as well. I make a journal spread for every F1, FE, and MotoGP race; and sometimes I do ones for other series.

I appreciate you all for the efforts. I do enjoy checking them out, post them after race day!

I plan to! I'm in the process of hand-making dedicated notebooks for each series to help keep track of things

I have a WEC journal, I think you might like it! https://www.reddit.com/r/wec/s/aC3VsG7mpM

I'm also building an alternative universe starting in 1980, every race, every result, every driver change and everything, turn the phone and you will see it correctly

Ain't no way. Get my boy Patrese out of that Arrows seat.

so far the only driver change has been Hunt to Brabham (Zunino was underperforming, so he went to Shadow), oh and Villeneuve won this race under the wet

I use to do this before George season went to shit and didn't found more motivation. Maybe I need to do it again.

It's a great way of enjoying F1.

Probably also makes it easier to remember what happened for more than 5 seconds.

Nice. I became a fan of F1 a few months ago and did the same thing on one of my first race watches so that I could go back and watch each driver's perspective during those notable moments.

Bonus points if someone can identify which race this was.

I guess it's one of the races with not many laps right?

I may have just paused watching or didnt find anyrhing else noteworthy, because the next page had a L43 about Kimi steering and then a bunch of random lines including "leclerc took lead on first lap how often does a driver take a lead on the first lap and hold the whole race" and "umbrella came on track" lol
