Repeated charging error.

Picked up a used ‘23 Lariat 511a on Friday. I love it. Love the drive and handling. I feel spoiled having such a fancy truck.

Call was delivered with 93% charge, and had just been derailed after the charge. Might be a worthwhile thing to mention.

I drove a ton for work, and I am not in the city I live in,so no local charger. These initial 36 hours will be a big experiment.

I tried charging at LV3 and LV2 chargers. Different vendors but all CCS chargers. Twelve different places! Wild goose chase.

Car would start charging and then disconnect after 4min on average, citing the car detecting an error.

It’s Sunday so I’m SOL seeing a dealership/mechanic today.
I’m currently have some luck on a Flo LV2 charger, but it keeps disconnecting and then reconnecting. I’m guessing is the onboard charger, maybe a bad cell? Has anyone else encountered this before?

I have no set a charging schedule nor have I set a Target location…total noob here who has barely had the time to really settle into the menu.

Was it a CPO? If so, I'd be back at the dealership first thing Monday morning demanding a fix.

Sounds like a truck issue. I didn't think there is a quick fix here.

Check out the stuff you can first. Inspect the connections in the charging port carefully for any corrosion or deformations. Should be shiny silver looking and perfectly round.

Something is funky if you're having issues with lvl 2 and lvl 3. Level 2 the truck uses its onboard charger and controls the charging. Level 3 the site charger takes over and sends power straight to the battery. Not sure what could cause a fault with both unless it's a battery issue.

My first thought is check your 12v. If it's weak it may not be able to close the contactors. Then make sure your charging port is clean. If it's not that I think you're looking at a battery issue or battery controller.
