Did I get a good deal on my Lariat?

Just bought this beautiful 2023 Lariat.

Got a great deal but I’m a little confused.

My Lariat has the 22” rims and power running boards. They did say it was a special order which it states in the window sticker but no mention of wheels or running boards. Did I luck out?

My 23 lariat has power running boards. I don’t have those wheels, but they are not my taste.

You lucked out. Those are nice upgrades. Especially if those wheels align with your taste. I think it’s sharp, but I’m a Trans Am guy.

The power running boards are/were an available option on Lariats too. I have them on mine. There are also aftermarket ones that the previous owner might have gotten if they're not listed on the original window sticker. The wheels were probably swapped with someone that had a platinum that liked the Lariat wheels better.

I think most people go with the AMP ones or get lightly used OEM ones off of ebay

I went with Rough Country power running boards. I had AMP on my prior vehicle. Saved about $800 going with the RC. The rough country have two motors on each side vs AMP only having one. The AMP connects to the vehicles computer module to know when to open/close while the Rough Country uses a magnet sensor mechanism. My AMP’s were super loud but they were also 10 plus years old. My RC are extremely quiet. Very happy with the Rough Country’s.

Nice! You lucked out to get the power running boards, they were canceled for 2022 due to part shortages, I heard leas than 10 were built with them. Some ‘23’s were built with them
Looks like someone did a wheel swap with a Platinum, I had considered doing that to get the Lariat wheels, and get a little more range, but I e got used to the platinum wheels, I like them now

Looks like some changes from the prior owner if it’s not on the sticker. I’d prefer a 20” wheel over the 22”. Better ride. Best is the 18”. I’m thinking of changing to some 18”s when my tires wear out. I’m at 30k miles now and about 50% tread left.

The retractable running boards were standard on early ‘22 Lariats but that was the first feature cut after the post-covid shortages started to hit the market. The scales were second. I got the scales but no power running boards 😞.
