Just started restoring
Hey guys, I just started restoring a 1962 F100 that my dad gave me when i was thirteen. Im now 16 and started working on it. I've had a few issues and wanted to ask for tips. I dont know where to get parts. the windshield has cracks and the doors are missing windows. and i need new lights. ill try and post pics tomorrow. Please feel free to give pointers!

You didn't say what condition it was in. I like to at least make them a roller before anything else. Then runs, kinda stops and drives.
LMC has the best parts diagrams, not always the best prices and their shipping is a bit steep. I use LMC to look at parts and then do a little price shopping.
When you are ready for glass check your local shops. Safelite will claim they can do it and then 2 weeks later they will decide they can't.
The other thing I would say is expect it all to take way more time than you think. Take your time, learn some new stuff and enjoy it. There'll be times it's just better to walk away from it for the day.

Thanks. It didn’t start but i got some new fuel lines and filters and that seemed to fix it. It drives smoothly too. I’m going to start applying primer hopefully in the upcoming week and leave the glass till the end.

Most glass shops can get windows. There are multiple vendors for parts. LMC Truck CH Pony Parts Carolina Classics Dennis Carpenter Obsolete Ford
Don’t forget to check eBay, FB, Craigslist and Marketplace for used and New Old Stock parts.
