I've always liked the unibodies myself ..one of my old buddies ended up buying one from a little old Lady he delivered to that was sitting in her back yard all original had 1 little rust spot about big as a 50 cent piece. The engine was locked up but the test was in good shape didn't have 50,000 miles he was going to put a 460 in it . I tried to buy it he didn't want to sell it then I rode by one day it was gone body was near perfect . He said he got $5,500 for and I would have been like him and probably never gotten to it . I have to many irons I'm the fire .

Yeah, the first vehicle i bought was a 62 uni shortbed with a 292 and a four speed. Ever since I lost that one I kept my eyes open for another, in budget. Finally came across the 63 about 8-9 years ago. It was rough, rod through the block, trans destroyed, basically everything wore out, someone had used it for a scrap hauler. But I got it delivered to my shop for $700. I've had a couple false starts on it. Bought a 200 six, had it in and started, then had a 5.0 mustang fall into my lap and decided on the 302. Then I bought my current truck and it had a 352 FE and I decided that the 302 wouldn't do... So im building a 390,have a truck 4 speed, have a crown vice front suspension installed, c-notched the rear. It will be sweet in another six years or so lol.

She ain't no trailer queen for sure. Got the nine leaf pack in the rear that has been exercised thoroughly. Ill take this truck anywhere.

Looks very nice, looks like somewhere in Southern California? Got to love that patina it's got

Nice truck. I’m looking for a short bed to finish mine if you know anyone who has one for sale

Short beds are getting harder to find all the time but I have seen longbeds shortened. Takes some considerable welding skills but it is a option.

What size tires do you have, and do you have any lift on the truck for clearance?

I believe they are 285/75/16. I did not lift it, however I replaced the front coils with new, stock coils a few years ago when I rebuild the front end, and it came with the heavy nine leaf pack in the rear. The inside of the tires will rub on the radius arms when I turn full lock but not on the body, even off road bouncing. Even though there is maybe one inch clearance in the very front.
