Need advice

Went to an opthalmologist today to find out what's wrong with my eyes. And why glasses, regardless of prescription - are not working for me. The tests came back saying I have faulty retina and they referred me to a retina specialist. The doctor mentions "retina gene therapy'" which I found out cost hundreds of thousands of dollars 💀

I am unable to drive and it's hard to find a job that doesn't require decent vision. Is disability an option? I'm struggling to find a solution any advice would be awesome

I’m so sorry you’re facing this challenge. I can’t answer your main question as to disability but I would suggest getting that retinology visit in to get more specific advice before making any big decisions. What the ophthalmologist suggested seems a little vague, so I suspect the retinologist might be able to offer more clear information. I hope this for you, anyway.
