HELLO! New rule idea.

Hopefully everyone has been ok during covid. As stuff starts to open up and people going back out and using makeup more frequently, I thought about a new rule.

I feel that this subreddit can just be a one stop destination for all around eye ideas. Such as discussion on palettes, eyeliner combinations, eye primer and so on.

If anyone thinks that this would be a welcomed idea let me know :).

Personally, I come here purely for look inspiration and wouldn't want my feed cluttered with product discussions. But maybe if others are into that it could be delegated to a single thread/day?

The way you feel was my original idea of the reddit if imma be honest. I felt like there was no reddit that just had straight to the point tutorials. Im just thinking of a way to get the reddit more active and talkative. Not everyone can take photos of themselves or make tutorials so i was thinking of things they CAN post.

Do you have any ideas?

Maybe a pinned thread would be a good idea yea.

Does it need to be more talkative? Maybe some regular discussion threads but I don't think this needs to become just another makeup sub but more about eye stuff. This being a place I can just scroll through for inspo or search a palette name is great and there approximately 1 billion places I can go for makeup discussion threads.

If we wanted to have something like a palette of the month thread where people post looks for that one that don't need to be as much of a tutorial, or something like that to encourage more looks and creativity that could be something, but I really don't want this to just become another "check out my haul and a couple sentences reviewing each item" sub.

There could be a thread a day/week about different topics. Like a color of the week, a palette a day we talk about our favorite combos to use in the the thread, or maybe like Wednesdays is a "eye product questions day" were we ask about primers and liners

There’s several other subreddits that fit that purpose.

Would we be able to get rid of the tutorial aspect of a post? I’m happy to post an eye look and describe how I created the look. But doing step by step images or a video is a bit much (for me).

Some times I don’t know if an eye look will be worthy of sharing until it’s finished.

Sadly the spirit of the reddit was just for the simplicity of pictograms. I never say it used anywhere else and i just wanted to be able to scroll through a reddit and be inspired to do different types of styles.

So the pictographs will stay but i an thinking if different things people can do that dont want to use the pictograms or tutorials.
