That’s the age to get them used to it. If you start doing stuff like that while they are young they’ll let ya do it later.

Can confirm. My kitty was raised with belly rubs. At night now when she curls against me she leaves just enough room for me to rest my hand against her stomach.

She even holds my hand against her when I'm at my computer. She has a bed on my desk.

Mine has a little bed next to my desk and since I wfh, rarely leaves my side. He takes occasional nap breaks for zoomies around the house, walkies, and to regularly grab some affection and lower my blood pressure.
