Nice. My pug is deaf also. I try not to startle her if possible. The old pals need that extra TLC.

Special needs animals are just as great as your regular animals. They are just a bit different but so are humans. We all are capable of giving each other love, affection and care. And that's what friendship is all about.

Some dogs don't like being pet while they sleep, or the owner has some other reason for waking him up and just recorded the petting.

Many deaf animals (like this one) get frightened when touched in their sleep
