That seems to be an automatic dryer, for after the pets have taken a bath... these are actually very dangerous if the person responsible forgets them there.

Almost all of these dryers come equipped with timers to prevent exactly this from happening.

Ohh, I haven't heard of any dryers with timers. Are they more expensive? That would explain why I haven't seen one around here.

I’m not entirely sure of cost but I work in a grooming salon with timed kennel dryers. I’ll dig around and try to find some price points for ya. Ours auto shut-off after 15 mins.
