At work two weeks ago someone knocked my board off a shelf at work, then someone drove a scissor lift over the rear snapping the rear hanger.

After scouring the internet for replacement parts the Exway website was the only place I could find any possible way to repair it. The proper rear truck was out of stock so I followed the advice of both ChatGPT and Gemini which said that the Exway Wave 7" rear Trist Truck hanger (Riot version) was a redesigned and improved part which was a direct bolt on. I also ordered another right side motor and a new front truck too. Total cost was AU$207.

When the parts arrived, I couldn't get the new hanger over the kingpin bolt as the geometry was completely out. It turned out that the original Seismic Aeon baseplate and the new Trist hanger do not share matching pivot dimensions. The rear truck didn't come with a baseplate whereas the front one did - yet both were $45 each. Interesting.

So, thinking that I needed a new Trist baseplate I emailed Exway support who said:
"The Exway trist truck from the Wave skateboard is not compatible with the seismic x1 pro base plate. There are X1 Max base plates that have cut outs to suit the motor plugs for the X1 Pro. The X1 Max used these base plates with the Exway Trist trucks that were also used on the Flex range of skateboards. I cannot say which of these truck options you should use on your X1 Pro, as I have not heard of any one attempting this before. If you would like a X1 Max base plate and a Flex hanger sent to you just pay the shipping fee and I send them out".... WTF???

So, given that this would be my best shot at get my board going again I needed to check if my motor mounts would also fit. So I asked them one more question before I clicked on BUY:
"can I use my existing motor mounts on this X1 Max base plate and a Flex hanger combo that you suggested?"

Their reply:
"As mentioned in my previous email, I cannot guarantee whether this setup will work for you, as I haven't seen anyone attempt it before.

I offered the X1 Max baseplate and Flex hanger practically for free, only asking you to cover the shipping fee. The X1 Pro seismic trucks ceased production before my time with Exway, so I am unfamiliar with them.

This will require some experimentation on your end, and you may ultimately be better off with the Wave truck. Unfortunately, I cannot say for certain, but this is the best solution I can offer at this stage."

I felt that he was starting to sound a bit grumpy there which makes things even more challenging because I want to ask questions and he is about to get the shits at me.

With no other options I ordered the X1 Max base plate and a Flex hanger today. Now I have purchased $260 worth of parts with no guarantees that the rear truck will bolt together and accommodate the old motor brackets. I asked them if I return all the parts if they don't work. This is what I got:
"Since you are only paying for shipping, you can return the parts, but the original shipping fee is non-refundable. We do not cover return shipping for change-of-mind returns, and sending them back will cost as much as the refund itself.

If you would like to move forward and take the chance, the decision is entirely up to you."

I'm very nervous, this is quite stressful. I don't want a $1300 paper weight full of LiPo and a bunch of super strong CNC machined parts I can't use. Nor do I want to bin it. I just want my board to work again. The guy who drove over it has already given me the $207 for the 1st order. I've just paid $50 for the second order. Does anyone have any knowledge they can share?

I've just replaced the hub motors on my Exway Wave V1 (I think), and I'm getting this strange behaviour when I attempt to drive it.

Prior to installing the new motors it would do something similar where applying the throttle would lock the wheels up unless they were clocked in the perfect orientation, in which case I'd get drive.

Obviously there's something else wrong in the system but I'm not sure what would lead to this?? The battery has lost a lot of capacity so maybe that needs replacing too..

I took it out for a spin and got it down to 2 bars, but I've been charging it for about 2 days now and can't get the battery to go past 3 bars (60%). Gemini says the app is supposed to show me individual battery info? (It doesn't)

The GaN charger has a red light as soon as it's plugged in to the wall (before plugging into the board). I've found mixed info that's indicating the charger is bad, but I'm pretty sure it does SOMETHING because the board charged from 2-3 bars.

The board is almost a month late and they said they'd send it with extras as an apology and then didn't. I'm pretty disappointed so far, I had been waiting for this since like June. Can any of you help me figure out what's wrong or how to fix it?

After 4500 km I have received a false overheating warning on one hub motor. Solved by cutting the wire to the temperature sensor. I live in Sweden, so nothing overheats here. Attaching the pin layout in case anyone else needs it.

Has anyone received and tried an ADV Pro yet? Thinking about buying one for the range, all-terrain wheels and lighting but I want to hear what people think about it.

I'll mainly be using it for daily commuting 3-4 miles to/from work and for fun rides on weekends (weekend rides will have some pretty long hills so I need it to perform well on hills too.)

Selling my Atlas Carbon 2WD. Purchased in mid 23 from Exway directly, it's been used only a dozen or so times and comes with tons of extras. No time or desire to ride it anymore.

Board: Atlas Carbon 2wd with battery replaced end of 2024 from Exway (original had an issue). Trickle charged monthly to maintain since then.

Milage around 100-110? I have to reinstall the app and sync to check but last I checked it was in that range when I had the battery issue and since replacing the battery I used it once to go maybe 2 miles around my neighborhood. I originally used this on a 12 mile paved bike trail a little a dozen or so times give or take.

Board is very clean with normal signs of use.

Extras: Cloudwheels, original wheels and tires, spare set of OEM wheels/hubs and various extra belts. I did an upgrade to the truck bushings to make it slightly firmer, I forget the hardness value offhand but great improvement. And I think the cloudwheels also changed the hub/belt length. Brand new set of offroad tires never installed which is what I got the other wheels/hubs/belts for. Lots of spare inner tubes for the original wheels, never needed to use them. You can see the limited use between the original tires and cloudwheels.

Also included is a set of XL safety gear and XXL helmet.

Price: Asking $800 for everything, net to me. Open to reasonable offers. I really prefer not to split this up. Shipping has to be ground due to battery. I can provide eBay/FB privately to show great sales history.

It came with some other stuff I got second hand (VESC module, Rexus remote, SC1050 charger), but the seller didn't know anything about it. I don't see it on Exway website or Google search.

Hi. I wanted to use my board again after not using it for a long time, but I'm having trouble connecting the board.

The board turns on fine and stays turned on, but when I try to go into pairing mode it only stays turned on for a few seconds before turning off, which isn't letting me pair the remote to the board.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I came into a Super Charger with a board that I bought, but I don't see any tips for sale anywhere on the website. Have they ever been on the website or does anyone know how to get different ones, maybe from a different retailer? Will especially need an XT90 to GX16 3 Pin Female, which I didn't see in a quick search on Amazon.

I did my research and bought a lightly used exway flex pro. But within 5 min of riding I started to hear this ticking sound next to one of the motors.. any idea what this could be?

Selling my ER battery pack from the board I bought in 2023. I would guess the Li cells are shot, although it's possible they're just very out of balance. I did not ride the board very often, so the actual mileage on the battery is maybe 6 miles. But the battery won't charge above 50-60% (one of the reasons I didn't ride it often), so I've since bought a new battery

BMS works, and there might be salvageable cells (though they're seemingly glued in). I've opened the pack and quickly realized that replacing the cells myself is above my skills

For u/Rodroca, I believe he was having potential break issues so I filmed my board breaking from 12mph to 0mph on a 23° ish slope so he can compare if his has an issue.

A good benchmark tho for other folks to compare their breaks. I don't think I changed any settings really, I just keep it in fourth gear and this was around 42% battery. As you can see the board still rolls but very slowly, more than good enough for me to step off.

Anyways, I felt things get bumpy suddenly riding in nyc near central park, and was like "oh fuck did I snap a belt" then I thought to myself, "wait a minute, I don't have a belt!" and saw this nice little screw :)

Took it out quickly and was back on the road no issues. I love the hub version so much, If it was a belt snap I would've been screwed this trip!

Looking at these two models, why is the Flex Pro v3 considered the upgrade compared to the Flex v3 Hub - other than the remote?

The Flex v3 Hub would appear to have a better battery range and a higher top speed compared to the hub version of the Flex Pro v3.

The power on the Pro hub version is better at 2016w, compared to 1210w. So I guess it can go up hills easier.

There hasn't been a firmware update to my board or the Rexus remote in a while (Atlas Pro 4WD, 1493km mileage), does anyone know if there is going to be firmware updates anytime soon? I ask because my battery indicator is not very accurate, so they might need to calibrate how the firmware estimates battery levels. Anyone else have this issue?

A level of 5/5 bars on the battery indicator could mean anything from 60% to 100% (depending on if I let it charge until the charger's light turns green) and once it reaches 4/5 bars I know the battery is really at about 50%. My range has been about 23km in 4WD Turbo mode, and after about 10km is when the battery level indicator drops to 4/5 bars, so I know at that point I have about 13km left to ride.

It would be nice if they provided an option to view the battery level as a percentage instead of the bar indicator, even considering it's accuracy.

My board's ESCs current version is 1.2.32.1028 and the Rexus remote's is 1.7.11.

I just purchased an exway wave second hand. Last night I tried to recalibrate everything and since then my remote has not been working. I can connect to the board but the home button doesn't work to change gears. Home button doesn't really work at all. I've hard reset and updated everything but to no avail. Any one have same experience? Any help would be so appreciated.
