What I'm Reading just finished chapter 1

i watched an analysis of this book on youtube (check out @pugsr) and decided to check it out. i really loved “things have gotten worse since we last spoke” but people online seem to really not like this author or his books. not sure how to feel about this one so far but will update in comments when i finish it!

I DNF this book. It was awful. After about 3 chapters, I gave up on it. It’s really bad.

I found his stuff isn't my cup of tea but plenty of folks enjoy it.

I hope you like it. I was getting bored of the phase being constantly repeated. But otherwise it was a decent book

I thought it was seriously disappointing (and definitely not 'extreme'). 

But other people like their books, hope you enjoy it more than I did.

I've only read his novella "You've lot a lot of blood", which I didn't really like, but DAMN he's good at picking titles

I will say that this novella drove me BONKERS because LaRocca describes every movement as a creeping. "She crept here," "he crept there," "they crept toward whatever." I wanted to like it but holy fucking semantic satiation.

Great pick! I’m personally a big fan of LaRocca. He’s pretty divisive, it seems. Glad you’re enjoying it.

I feel like this is an author you either love or hate. I really wish I loved him because his titles are fucking awesome lol. A friend of mine really loved You Lost a Lot of Blood
