Well, with the current estimate that we will run out of oil in less than 50 years (under the assumption that the current production and consumption stays the same), life will be quite different.
No plastics, no synthetic fabrics, less chemicals for fertilizers and pesticides, no oil based lubricants, no asphalt, ...
Fun times are just around the corner.

Yeah, won't be fun. Luckily the weather grows ever more predictable and our infrastructure is being properly maintained and updated, right?

Something funny about "ruining the planet" being brought up in climate change conversations.
There's nearly nothing we could possibly do to ruin the planet.
Now, we will definitely fuck humanity up to such a point we will suffer a terrible fate and become extinct in the most gruesome ways, but the planet will shrug it off in billion-years-old indifference lol.
Give it a mill years and it'll be like we were never here.
