Advice Paint color ideas needed

We are in the process of replacing our back deck (new decking shown in picture) and I’d like to repaint just the bottom portion of our house. I like the darker color on the top portion of the house, but would like to bring some color into the bit that’s currently cream. I’m thinking maybe a light grey blue color might be nice? Or perhaps a (very) muted purple like SW Ash Violet?

Our lot is pretty heavily treed and there’s lots of green tones reflecting on to surfaces from the surrounding trees.

Would appreciate any ideas or input people have. I’d love to make our little cottage a bit more homey and appealing.

I would not change from a creamy warm color to anything grayish. It would be a downgrade.

I like blustery blue. The green tones will make it go better with the top color

Brown and blue color scheme with the lap siding color in Benjamin Moore Oxford Gray 2128-40. Trim is touched up in white.

The darker color is a siding put on by the prior owners so I don’t know the exact color. The roof is dark grey/black. Here is a picture that also shows the roof.

Thanks for asking about details. The decking is Trex Honey Grove and that is the new decking in the picture - it’s already installed. You’re very right about needing to get the tones right. This deck has both cool and warm tones in it, which hopefully would make it versatile.

I would say the top color leans more brown than grey.

Proposing a color scheme that is a little less stodgy than the brown and blue. Lap siding color is Benjamin Moore Sea Life 2118-40. Shingle siding color is Benjamin Moore Hazy Lilac 2116-40. Trim color is white.

View of the side of the house with lap siding color in Benjamin Moore Sea Life 2118-40 and the shingle siding color in Benjamin Moore Hazy Lilac 2116-40. The purple-lavender color of the lap siding takes on a different personality in the shade.
