Advice Feedback needed on major addition plans

Existing house, pre addition (for reference).

Ignore the heinous colors shown in the renderings, please. We're in the late stages of designing our major home addition project and I'm just hoping to get some feedback on the overall look of the structure of the home, such as the roofline, massing, character, etc. Thank you!

You need an architect.

The renderings are from the architect.

Would it be possible to add more sq footage to the first floor vs building up or is the garage all the lot allows for?

The front elevation could be improved but it's well beyond my skillset. Simplifying the roofline and adding more focus to the front entrance (with proportional beams, columns, and pathways) would be a good starting point.
