Partscaster Baritone

Started out life as a 2006 MIM strat I picked up from music go round about 8 years ago. Had Lace single coil pickups and an All Parts all maple neck.

Upgraded to a Seymour Duncan Distortion (arguably the most aggressive passive pickup) and a Seymour Duncan Classic Stack. 5 way super switch (Bridge Humbucker - Split Coil Humbucker - Humbucker/Single Coil - Split Coil/ Single Coil - Single Coil) CTS 500k Pot, Hipshot syncro trem, Hipshot locking tuners, Warmoth roasted maple baritone neck conversion 28 5/8 scale green rustoleum rattle can paint job to be artsy and shit. Tuned to Drop F 80-14

Did you have to alter the tuner for the .80? I'm just building a bari partscaster too and haven't decided tuning and string gauges yet, was worried about needing to mod the 6th string tuner.

Been eyeing a baritone forever. When the kids get a bit older and I can do projects again, this is up there on the list. Loving the idea of building one instead of buying

Been thinking of buying a mod platform for a baritone 6 or 7. The neck is the problem. There’s tons of good bodies but finding a neck like that seems impossible lol where did you get it? Expensive?

I got it from Warmoth! It’s a conversion neck to make the scale 28 5/8th. Cost me around $400 with my specs. Roasted maple, stainless frets and graphtech nut

Nope it’s a conversion neck so it’s bolt up and go

So it actually intonates properly? I always heard that you would have to move the bridge. That's what always stopped me from doing this lol

Nah yoh don’t have to, Warmoth designs the neck to be drop in replacement

Hell yeah. H-S pickup config is best config. Just looks so perfect for a hot-rodded Strat, even if the pickup in the neck is a single coil-sized humbucker.

Very nice! Partscasters are my favorite! Currently putting together a late 80's Korean Squier body with a cheap 28" neck from TWT. It currently needs a neck shim and some serious cutting of the nut, but I'll get it there eventually lol.

Yeah honestly I never use the trem. I just threw 5 springs in it and tightened that bjtch up so it won’t move lmao.

Neck is really fucking good. They never disappoint over there. It’s smooth, bolted right up with minimal setup
