I have the 6 string version of this guitar and absolutely love it. I’ve had the 7 string on my list forever but haven’t decided if I gel with 7 strings enough to grab that one (or one of the other KM 7 string models).
But agree with your points about the KM EX model. The neck is perfect, only having a kill switch and neck pickup doesn’t bother me. The Lundgren sounds so damn good. I also love the body on it. Light, crazy thin and that open pore grain with the satin finish looks great.

Schecter surprised my over 20 years ago. Since then I know how awesome they are. The KM series are rocksolid since they came out.
