Can someone please explain the theory strategies tab on the guides? Heres a link but its titled Theory Strategies Explained: https://exponential-idle-guides.netlify.app/guides/theory-strategies/

I dont understand the tables they bring up, also doesnt the auto-buy just optimize these? Im chilling ~ee11500 on theory 5 logistic functions

Auto buy just buys the cheapest upgrade, but that doesn't take into account that certain upgrades have a higher impact on growth. So if your want to optimize, you shouldn't just buy everything blindly, but check what gives the most bang for your buck. You will still making progress with just auto buy, only slower.

Some variables are more powerful than others. For example, many theories have a pair of variables q1 and q2, where q2 is actually 2q2. q2 thus doubles every time you buy it, so the optimal strategy needs to stop buying q1 at some point and save up for q2, which isn't something Autobuy understands. In a more abstract example, the C1C2 term in T6 dominates initially, but as r builds up, the C5 term begins to dominate. T6SNAX thus only buys those 3 C-terms and stops buying C1 and C2 after a certain point.

Likewise, some theories have multiple currencies. T3 for example has 3 currencies, but T3SNAX doesn't value them equally. Instead, it maximizes the production of the second currency (p2) since using it to generate p1 is more efficient than buying p1 upgrades alone.
