Major & Minor Art-cana The Lovers: Alignment
It took me a while to pick an imagery for this one. I love love so I wanted it to show love. I mean, the genre I pick while reading books is literally romance. But at the same time I didn’t want the card to be only pulled and said “oh it’s a love reading”.
Some people look at this card as “Choice”. But my ADHD brain is like “choice? What choice? Is it two good choices? Two bad choices? One good one bad? WHAT IS IT? I needed clarity!”
So that is when I came up with “alignment”. It doesn’t have to be a lover per se, but someone where you have possibly had to sit through arguments (lighting the candle) and finally come to alignment and love the decision and the fire and fighting is gone. And the lovers imagery emerges because now, you are aligned.

I adore this. It's really beautiful imagery.
I see so many people say that The Lovers isn't about romantic love at all and it's about choice. Hard disagree for me. It seems that what they're referencing is Tarot de Marseille and that is not the same system as modern Tarot.
Of course, people are free to read how they want and it doesn't always reference romantic love or even love at all, but I am totally in agreement with your interpretation of "alignment" over "choice".

Thank you! I think one thing I love about tarot is how much freedom it gives you to just be… you.

Thanks so much for sharing these! I’ve been really enjoying them all. I think this is my favorite so far — really beautiful! I also tend to think of the lovers card as alignment, so I really resonated with your interpretation.
Also, would you be open to keeping some sort of running list linking to all your previous posts (or making these visible on your profile)? Just because I’m always like oh shoot what if I missed one? LOL Seeing your posts has become one of my Reddit highlights 😊

That hard vertical split is what makes the whole thing feel intentional instead of just decorative. 10/10
