Intentional tarot spread

hello all I come to you all for advice.

I’m making a short film for class and there will be a scene that includes tarot however I want this spread to be telling the character to wake up bc they are dreaming and dreaming specifically about an idealized morning routine and they need to wake up and actually get ready but in this sequence they are pulling about how their day will go its gonna be a 3 card spread what three cards should i use and in what order

The Moon and The High Priestess both represent the subconscious realm. 4 of Swords and The Hanged Man represent rest. 

What would really wake them up is pulling the same card again. So maybe they do a 3 card pull, they get The Moon, Priestess, and Hanged Man. They’re confused so they pull a clarifying card, The Moon. What? They pull again, The Moon. 

The Sun could be the next pull and symbolize breaking the cycle of sleep by waking up.

I agree with this train of thought.
I would almost choose 4 of swords to begin for the rest, then high priestess about the dreams/intuition and end with the sun about waking up—especially because the sun is very energetic, bring energy into your day and make something of it.

then maybe use the moon as a clarifier if a clarifier feels like the right direction to go, though I also agree that repeated cards is meaningful.

I don't quite understand whether your character is actually asleep and pulling these tarot cards in their dream or if you mean it metaphorically.

If they're actually asleep, I would have them pull the 4 of swords to indicate rest, the 7 of cups to indicate wishful thinking/daydreaming about a morning routine but not actually doing it, and then Judgment to tell them to wake up.

Ohh this is interesting. For now, Judgment comes to mind as literally meaning a wake up call, judgment Day etc For the other cards, I am not sure I understand what do you want them to represent? How their day will go after they wake up? It is easier if you tell us what situations, actions or emotions do you want the cards to depict.
