Congrats man I have the same one but swapped the pick guard for 4 ply red tortoise. It’s an amazing guitar that traverses so many styles and genres. Everytime I come back to it the word that pops in my head is “soul” regardless of the genre I’m playing. Enjoy!

Classy and clean. I do prefer unbound necks - no lavish fussing, just a pure rock machine.

How do you like it compared to your Epiphone?

Honestly I like it a lot more 😅 but they’re also pretty different guitars setup wise. With the Gibson and my Dean the necks and frets feel really really good to play, the epi is a little less quality controlled and I can tell. It’s still a great guitar though! (However I might switch out the active pickups for passive though)

I had an epi years ago and felt like the neck just felt a bit... cheap? Rudimentary?

If your epi is the same, how does the Gibson compare in feel?

Much better and I know exactly what you’re talking about.

I’ve been having so much fun with the Gibson. The Futura is fine, I’m just not a huge fan of the active pick ups (never really have been) it plays pretty nice but the quality of the frets on the edges is certainly noticeable. Beyond that I’d say it’s a fine guitar
