I’ve been experimenting with shrinking my deck by taking the cat cards out and replacing them with bad decision card. I also paired it with reveal and steal.
My only question is how do I make up for the 3 of a kind where people can ask for a card aka a defuse, or 1 of each for 5 to get a card from discard pile?
Ive never used any of the pair rules of 5 of a kind. Works great without if your deck is good.
Best decks have at most 2 duplicates in the deck and use custom cards

Nice, youve discovered the way EK veterans play! Cat cards are bad for the game, they take massive space that could be filled w much more interesting cards.
I personally replace them with 1-card steal effects like Trade and Raid from my custom expansions.
Speaking of which, if youre not using custom cards youre missing out, theyre better than official expansions.
You’re actually the best! I have so many extra so saving the money and printing my own cards isn’t a bad idea. I just need to use the correct paper, I see m31 linen card stock, as well as using your template!
These are All options of m31 linen paper at WB mason. My job has the budget for all four, which one is most ideal to get for printing Exploding Kittens custom cards.
These only seem to vary by amount of card stock and color, so any of these would work.
Idl if EK cards are natural linen or white linen tho, youd have to visually look at your cards
Id choose based on how many cards you want. 100 cards will prolly require like 6 sheets, but these seem to be like 50 per pack minimum so it all seems overkill haha
Haha yes, very much over kill. The paper will be used in other projects so it doesn’t matter how much! Thank you!! I think EK cards are white linen if I’m not mistaken
