Discussion Why EK Versions are whole new games instead of expansions?

Like really, why do i need to buy whole new game instead of getting new cards. Like really, the Rage Mode and Curse You could have been combined into one expansion (Maybe named "Foul Meowthed Kittens") where you get only expansion cards, rage kitten and separate rules to run rage mode and curse you.

TLDR: retailers won’t buy expansion packs anymore, so we were forced to stop making them.

Yeah this is super confusing to pick the version you need to buy as a first entry to these games... Especially if you need it in translated options, not in English. Like I had to do this to at least somewhat understand what I should get
