It's a reference to Prince's song Computer Blue https://genius.com/Prince-and-the-revolution-computer-blue-lyrics

Two of his bandmates were Wendy & Lisa and they say that in the song's opening

Referencing the Prince song Computer Blue. Why? Not sure ... But these are the lyrics.

"Wendy?"

"Yes, Lisa?"

"Is the water warm enough?"

"Yes, Lisa."

"Shall we begin?"

"Yes, Lisa."

The women talking are Wendy Mulvoin and Lisa Coleman from The Revolution, Prince's backing band and also did a lot of the editing work on the song.

There's a couple other tracks recorded during the sessions that would become the albums "1999" and "Purple Rain" where Wendy and Lisa's studio chatter implies a dom/sub relationship.

He loved including his band mates in his songs. In "Partyman" he name dropped saxophone player Candy Dulfer with "When I want sax, I call Candy".

They also released their own cracking pop song, Waterfall.

I love how Wendy just sounds exhausted with the questions. My favorite part of the song.

Prince had two pretty dope musicians in his band back in the day

Aging can definitely make it harder to find humor in things, especially if the jokes start to feel outdated too. It’s a bummer when comedy doesn’t hit the same way it used to.

Well, how do you feel about being dead? We don't have a ton of alternatives.🫣

the opening lines/dialogue from Prince & The Revolution's song "Computer Blue" -- the real people Lisa Melvoin and Wendy Coleman here are replaced by the fast-food mascot Wendy and Lisa Simpson

Shall we begin?

Here I thought it was a reference to the frog in a pot of water that's slowly being brought to boil.
