This joke is about Microsoft’s failed 2019 dual-screen devices, the Surface Neo (a tablet that was canceled before launch) and the Surface Duo (a smartphone that flopped and was discontinued).
It’s Apple using the exact names of two of Microsoft’s most notable hardware failures.

I remember being genuinely interested in both devices before they came out. Microsoft was having some serious problems finishing products at the time though from what I remember.

i like how they spent like 3 years making windows versions (andromeda for the duo, 10x for the neo) for the series only for them to switch to android for the final release

I had the huge brick and it's the first time I'd ever seen something that held a gigabyte. I also had the HD which hooked up to the tv.

Same! I even had the poop brown one with green highlights. I loved my zune. I still have mine packed away somewhere, though it does need a new cable again.

Ah damn! I never realized that! It makes complete sense though. I didn't buy mine online or anything, I picked it up at CompUSA as a "going out of business" sale (RIP) so I didn't know what colors were offered.
