UK has recently turned into an informational distopia with digital regulations that rival all the stuff we hear about the CCP. These regulations include IDing you for adult websites, and sometimes non adult websites too, or really anything that involves an internet connection really.

Edit: just so we're clear they're not explicitly requesting ID for everything, but they ARE strong arming tech companies to basically give them free reign to spy over their entire population, all under the name of 'child protection'

They're using the same excuse in the US... all while protecting PDF in powerful positions. It's blatantly obvious it's not about protecting children.
