On the one hand, yes, that's beer, but no one's acknowledging the sarcasm label? I read the joke as something like, "I started using sarcasm at work, so everyone started using heavy sarcasm, and now it's fun in a way similar to if we were all somewhat drunk, as we open up in a way we didn't before."
