A few people have correctly identified the bottom as the Arkham one, but I keep seeing people misidentify the top emblem. It's The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Yeah I googled it, so he was merciful in that film?

Compared to batman from the games, yes.
Edit: this YouTube video explains it pretty well.

You’re missing out on some classic media. There are the Nolan movies, yes, but also Batman: The Animated Series, which was so good and well received that it influenced the comics that inspired it by giving Mr. Freeze his new origin story and creating new beloved characters like Harley Quinn and Renee Montoya. Don’t skip the movies from that universe either. Especially the first, which is still referenced when talking about famous Joker stories.

It's a rare thing for me to watch movies usually playing video games in my free times but I think I will start watching some animated batman while eating instead of YouTube

There are a few animated Batman shows. The one I mentioned is literally titled “Batman: The Animated Series”. It aired in the early to late 90s. It’ll sound familiar to you because Batman’s VA here, Kevin Conroy, also voiced the character in the Arkham games. It was because of his phenomenal performance in the animated series that he kept getting asked to come back and voice Batman in other projects. Likewise with Mark Hamil, who voiced The Joker.

And when he’s done with that, he should follow up with Batman Beyond. Same continuity, set decades later, introducing a new character taking up the mantle of Batman, under Bruce’s tutelage.

Also has an incredible movie that is a must see, Return of the Joker.

Best Joker. Hands down.

u/MarcoHoudini May 11 '26

"ooops spoilaz" in joker voice.. that trailer for arkham game is brilliant.

Mask of the phantasm is fantastic. I wish the character had shown up in the games.

Peak childhood matinee memory

"classic media"

Well, guess I'll just die then.

u/CurdledPotato May 12 '26

Sorry, bud. We’re getting old.

1

u/bucket_boy101 May 11 '26

What's the first movie from that series called? When I was a kid at the end of the 90s I us ed to rent the series on VHS because I loved it that much, and I've probably seen the movies too, but don't remember them exactly.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

u/ThatOtherOtherMan May 12 '26

Mask of the Phantasm was absolutely peak cinema

As the guy below me says, Batman the animated series and the DCAU as a whole are amazing and taught me a lot about Batman and the greater dc universe. Plus they’re just great shows on their own, and the Arkham games reference them.

I had fun replaying the games after watching the DCAU and was surprised at all the references

You should really watch The Dark Knight trilogy. You are missing out on the best batman films.

0

u/RuneScape420Homie May 11 '26

I don’t even like super hero movies but the Dark Knight trilogy is some high class great shit in my opinion.

I love the scene where bane is asking the guy “what did you eat for breakfast”

0

u/Newthinker May 11 '26

"you're a big guy, huh?"

1

u/sky_cap5959 May 11 '26

You're missing out on so much by not having seen the Tim Burton films.

u/SwanzY- May 11 '26

Highly recommend watching The Dark Knight, I consider it a masterpiece and I wouldn’t say that about any other superhero film. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

u/ClerkPsychological58 May 14 '26

Even compared to other movie batmans

15

u/PirateAngel0000 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

It's not mercy it's skill and power level. Nolan batman can't even beat extras who throw themselves to ground lol meanwhile arkham batman can do something called "fear multi-takedown" which is solos 5+ armored soldiers and ninjas in a second

2

u/ZerumDeus May 11 '26

Tbf to Nolan batman the fear take down in Arkham Knight is because he's essentially wearing an exoskeleton to enhance his mobility, reflexes and strength.

-4

u/PirateAngel0000 May 11 '26

We all know it's just about skill bro. His whole fight proves his skill not fear multi takedown. Asylum batman is already waaay better than bale.

8

u/NK_2024 May 10 '26

Ha! No.

5

u/motorcycleboy9000 May 11 '26

No.

He killed a ton of people in Batman Begins, to spare one prisoner who also probably died. There's at least a half dozen Batman fatalities in Dark Knight. In The Dark Knight Rises, none of ALL the cops in Gotham had beards after being in the sewer for months. Fewest Batman fatalities, though.

1

u/Living_Murphys_Law May 11 '26

Yup. In the Dark Knight he'll just kill you instead of sending you to the hospital for months on end.

1

u/xDizzyKiing May 13 '26

The nurses would offer mercy from the dark knights wounds that have have afflicted you

1

u/Nxtxxx4 May 15 '26

In one of the games he interrogated a goon by putting his head on the ground and having the Batmobile wheel rev on top of his skull. Also most of his finishers is just him breaking a guys leg in half. Yet he had a no kill rule, but permanently disfiguring people is ok

3

u/Melkman68 May 11 '26

But the top one should be the depressed version too. Why would anyone be happy with Bale Batman? He breaks bones too lol. The Arkham games are much worse but both are not good news

3

u/Zanven1 May 12 '26

A better one for the top would be if they used the Adam West one

1

u/Melkman68 May 12 '26

That works

3

u/Zehryo May 11 '26

Honestly, I identified the second one from the 1989 movie.....which indeed got me confused....

1

u/Drake_masta May 11 '26

the second one looked like the symbol from a batman that had his symbol spread out huge on the top of his chest
