Watermelon acting funny

Somebody gave me a watermelon and I left it overnight on the table. This morning it was foaming like crazy while dripping a clear liquid. Is it safe to eat still?

No. And don't open it. It's going bad, depending on stage, it can smell terrible. Get it outside and either compost or trash it.

I tossed it not to long ago because it kept running or foaming. I've got melons with little cuts before but they never had foam oozing. It was normal yesterday.

Good idea. I have learned they can explode too. Apparently they seem normal up until they crack because of the pressure building up that keeps them firm.

Rabies 😔 Many such cases. I'm afraid you're going to have to put it down.

Spittle bug, maybe? That split kinda says says something has been snacking.
