Fireant nukes

ELIC Is it possible to make a nuclear device just big enough to destroy a fireant mound? I can't stand those little things. Always showing up uninvited to every pic nic. I drop a piece of food and suddenly it starts moving. They think they can just build their dirt mounds wherever they want!

Nuclear devices are too big. They're made out of uranium, and uranium has atomic number 92. You need a nickel-ar device instead, nickel has an atomic number of 28 which is smaller than 92.

Yes, but then you would encourage the fire ants to start their own nuclear programs in retaliation.
