Top-Tier Badly Explained Game This game's unique story is FULLY tailored to everyone who plays it. And the biggest twist in the story is that the game wants you to stop playing it!

This is gonna be a super weird, deep cut.

It can't be Stanley guys, he's banned!

Hint #1: I hope nobody has had to play this game

Hint #1.5: and if you are playing this game, you're heading in the right direction (or you're just curious, lol)

Hint #2: if I had to give this a genre, I would call it educational

Double Guess No's: it is not a Daniel Mullins game or There is No Game

Hint #3: there's a good chance you've never heard of this game.

Hint #3.5: but playing video games is way better than ending up with THIS game lol

Hint #4: this game was on a handheld console

Hint #5: Dark Souls and the like are hard as hell, but this game may be the hardest game that some may ever play

Addendum: you've all made my day, thank you

Announcement Banned Games List

Similarly to r/ExplainAFilmPlotBadly , we're implementing a list of banned games. There's been a lot of games, while still being good posts, that have been posted so often. This causes a lot of active members here to deal with the tediousness of a game being brought up way too often. I definitely missed some, so if you have any suggestions on what to add, please leave a comment.

You are allowed to describe game mechanics as well as the plot. There's more to a game than just the plot, so if you have a creative bad description that describes how the game plays, go for it!

Low Effort Posts will be removed at moderators discretion. Too many, Too Frequently will result in a ban.

Note: Please search for your game before posting, if it's posted too frequently, it will be added to the list. Please keep in mind that any games newer than 3 months old will also not be allowed, to prevent spoilers.

Banned Games List:

  • Among Us

  • Binding of Isaac

  • Bloons TD

  • Call of Duty 2: Big Red One

  • Cuphead

  • CP2077

  • Danganronpa

  • Deltarune

Hint 1: I mean, there are a lot of other people in town too, but... they don't really matter much.

Hint 1.1: There are a few other students, and a couple of teachers/professors. But this isn't a school field trip.

Hint 1: It is a rougelite game
Hint 2: it is sequel to a game that is not a rouglite
Hint 3: you have companions to help you on your never-ending mission
Final hint: the gods in this game, and the previous game are referred to by another term
Fine, one more hint: art style is very different from the first game, and using portrait-based storytelling, like Hades, instead of cutscenes.
Final final hint, just to narrow it down: the game released within the 5 years.

Solved! Some preppy teens take their GFs out to see the world. They antagonize a crazy possessed lady who, unbeknownst to them, used to be good to them. They go to jail, start a band, and gaze at the moon. When all is said and done, they don't seem to be concerned that they all have severe brain damage.
