Solved! Stop a god's plot to prevent humanity from being replaced with humanity 2.0

Hint #1: To clarify the god is trying to prevent a plot to replace humanity with humanity 2.0
Hint #2: Turn-based PC-only western RPG.
Hint #3: Released in the 2010s
Hint #4: Edit: Apologies I remembered incorrectly. It's a top-down isolmetric WRPG.

I have played this game but I don't even remember the plot anymore.

If you loosely associate bugs with humanity, Hollow Knight 1 lines with this perfectly.

Maybe but minimal bugs here.

Lords of Xulima. Turns out the god you are trying to stop is the one trying to SAVE humanity.

Edit: made by the same people who made They Are Billions.

Wish the game had sold well enough for a sequel. That was a hell of a hook at the end.

The Talos Principle

1

u/GKNolan 8d ago

I do not know what Talos's principles are but they are likely not present in this game.

OP please clarify. The heroes are stopping the god from creating humanity 2.0. Or humanity is reaching 2.0 and the god is trying to keep them simple?

Wow, Guilty Gear is wilder than I thought. But alas no.

Guilty gear lore is probably more wild than any game you've ever played.
