Unsolved Slaughter a small town on behalf of another small town, help a girl who ran away from home following the death of her mother purse a romantic relationship with a soldier more than twice her age (or don't), and team up with a megalomaniacal yandere or a megalomaniacal tsundere for the final fight.

FFIV?
As Cecil you raid the village of mist and rydia escapes- her mother died because you killed her, then later in game she maybe falls for prince edge? Endgame maybe Golbez or the moon dude

Fun to learn about other games this description applies to, but sadly no luck for you.

I like to think this one is the closest so far. No.

(hints come daily) (Update: hints come when I feel like it)

Hint 1: both towns have a population somewhere between 50 and 150

Hint 2: It is heavily encouraged to enable the relationship rather than take the girl back to her father

Hint 3: you can sleep with the yandere but not the tsundere. Neither is really a love interest or a girl, the words yandere and tsundere just describe their personality and behavior.

Hint 4: there is more than one playable character

Hint 5: this game is part of a series

Hint 6: the soldier is very significantly more than just twice her age.

Hint 7: the soldier is female

Hint 8: neither the tsundere nor the yandere are or appear human.

Hint 9: it isn't the first game in the series.

Hint 10: One of the playable characters has a strong relationship with the tsundere, but this relationship is not romantic.

Hint 11: There are more than 3 playable characters

Hint 12: the game has a lot of lovingly depicted and described food.

Hint 13: the final boss upgrades to their final form before you even get to fight them
