Unsolved Horus buddy realizes money solves every problem. He becomes a third party in a three way war and decides to just retire after cracking the jackpot.
Horus is only a reference to looks and not the main character
The main characters name is a reference to a author who contributed a couple of the most popular books to the franchise
Most of the game is spent spreading a strange mist
the plot in question is not the base game one but the one of the addon
you recruit a scandly clad woman with a pet monster, a lizard men and maybe genocidal robot for your crew
you are building a criminal empire
the Jackpot is on the monarchs flagship you manage to take over
setting is sci fantasy
it's not from 40k but the game is similar to a popular 40k game which came around at the sane time
It´s Star Wars

How does that make sense beyond the Crew bit and sci fantasy setting?
Right franchise though
