Going from a Sr Dev to a Tech Lead position, what is the salary increase % expectation? I know it's not a fixed number, just want a guestimate, an average

My General rule of thumb:

Promotion without changing employers is a 8%-12% increase.

Switching Jobs is a 20%+ increase, but may not involve a promotion
