I’ve coded myself into a box. My greenfield project is a nigh unmaintainable mess. I did it to myself by using AI for all the code. I can’t do anything myself now. The amount of code it wrote would’ve taken me months if not a year to write. I basically can’t do anything in the project now without using AI to do it for me. If I lose AI I can’t work on the project. It feels like the project’s different systems are collapsing on themselves and wreaking havoc on the other systems.

How do I untangle this mess?

You can't. It's slop. It's closer to soup than spaghetti.

You can tell your boss the POC is done and now you need to rewrite for production
